She set up an all day Board Meeting, and prior to the meeting sent out a survey from which she then provided an Agenda including a brainstorming session. Extremely beneficial for next year's Chapter Meetings. Provided guidance to our new Treasurer all year when needed. "E" Award was presented to Becky Davidson. During our Silent Auction (17th November), Becky Davidson wasn't on the committee but was very diligent to assist Jackie Gault with set up/ finalizing sales, bagging gift items etc., in the Home/Bath Category. I (Marilyn Simms) spotted an item in Collage which I kept my eye and bid on while still working the event. I felt certain I'd won this particular item until the Bid Sheet showed Becky outbid me. As we closed out the meeting I whined and whined about loosing out on the bid. Becky tried to offer it to me but I refused.
Fast forward - on Christmas Day my daughter who'd assisted at the Auction gave me a present and….upon opening it saw that it was the auction item (Travel Bag)! Appears on the night of the event, at some point during my whining, Becky gave the item to my daughter. She did not ask for exchange of monies but simply directed my daughter to give it to me on Christmas.

She conducts the required tasks yet offers a welcoming personality to members as they arrive. On last evening Marlice won both the Elaine's Florist Vendor Gift & a Mystery Gift. There was a collage of items in the mystery gift bag. Fitting to what I know of her personality, Marlice emptied the bag and shared the total contents (5 items) with members in attendance who were not raffle winners. We attended the Josh Groban concert on Wednesday in her company's suite (American General) at the Toyota Center. What an unexpected BONUS for being on a committee. Another reason folks should sign up for committees (besides the experience, the growth, the networking); one never knows about a surprise. Nellie is always helping WHC one way or another. From the Continental airline tickets she secured for many golf raffles in the past and she does these things quietly and graciously.
